What difference can a comma make?
TOP: The panda eats, shoots and leaves.
BOTTOM: The panda eats shoots and leaves.
Slow, children crossing.

Here is an excellent sentence by Charles which uses commas to put extra information into his sentence.
The young child cowered in the corner as the
mighty lion, King of the beasts, pounced upon him.
Notice the extra information between the commas.
